Nice custom cake, minor issue

We ordered a gender reveal cake and it turned out great visually, exactly what we discussed during the consultation. The cake itself was tasty, not too sweet, which I appreciate. My only minor issue was the frosting on one side seemed a tiny bit smudged when I picked it up, but it wasn't a huge deal since it was easily hidden. Delivery wasn't an option for our smaller order, but picking it up was fine. Good value for a custom cake, and they handled our dietary request well.

Worth the pre-order special

I was looking for a good deal on holiday pies and saw Christine's had a pre-order special for Thanksgiving. I got a pumpkin pie and an apple pie at 10% off. It really helped with the budget for our family dinner. The pies tasted homemade and were a big hit. Definitely felt like I got good value for my money, especially with that discount. I'd shop here again for holidays.

Amazing wedding cake experience

My wedding cake from Christine's was absolutely perfect! From the tasting to the final delivery, everything was handled so professionally. The cake was stunning, even better than I imagined, and all our guests raved about how delicious it was. We got a tiered cake with two different flavors, and both were incredible. I'm so glad we chose them for our special day!

Quick pick up, tasty cookies

Needed some custom cookies fast. Ordered them online, picked up two days later. Cookies were fresh and looked good. Easy process.

Always reliable, great pastries

I've ordered from Christine's a few times now, usually for pastries. This time I grabbed a seasonal pastry bundle and some croissants. They're always fresh and delicious, just like my previous orders. It's nice knowing I can count on them for good quality every time. Definitely my go-to for breakfast treats.

Are their gluten-free options any good? My sister has celiac and I want to get her something for her birthday.

J Jason Turner 1 month ago
I tried their gluten-free chocolate cake once and it was surprisingly good! Not dry at all, which can happen with GF stuff. They do vegan pastries too I think.

My cousin got a GF cake from them and said it was pretty delicious. I think they have a few options but always good to ask what's available.

Hey has anyone ordered a wedding cake from here recently? Wondering about the lead time, like how far out do I need to book?

L Laura Jackson 1 week ago
Yeah, I did for my sister's wedding last year. We booked about 6 months in advance. They recommend giving them as much notice as possible for custom stuff, especially during peak wedding season.

I think for a wedding cake specifically you want to give them at least 3-6 months. I heard they get super busy, especially spring/summer.

What's their cancellation policy like for a custom cake? Got a big birthday coming up but plans are a bit shaky.

O Olivia Gomez 1 month ago
You'd need to check their specific policy, but for custom cakes, bakeries usually have a non-refundable deposit or a cut-off date for cancellations. I think for custom stuff you lose the deposit if it's too close.

I'm pretty sure you put down a deposit for custom cakes, and that's usually non-refundable if you cancel within a certain timeframe. Better to call them and ask directly what their exact terms are.

Do they deliver wedding cakes? Or do you have to pick it up in West Chester yourself?

L Lisa Flores 1 month ago
They do deliver wedding cakes! My friend got hers delivered to her venue in Philly, just check their delivery zone and if there's an extra fee.

M Megan Thomas 1 month ago
Yeah, I saw on their site they offer delivery for wedding cakes. You'd probably need to confirm the exact distance and cost with them directly.

How do their cakes compare to like, The Master's Baker? Quality-wise and price?

K Karen J. 2 weeks ago
I've had cakes from both. Christine's feels a bit more artisanal, really custom and detailed. Master's Baker is good too but maybe a little more traditional. Prices are probably similar for custom work.

Christine's designs are seriously next level, really artistic. Master's Baker is solid too, but I think Christine's has a slight edge on unique designs. Price-wise for custom stuff, you're looking at a premium for both, but worth it.

Anyone been to a cake tasting there? Is it worth it for a wedding cake?

A Andrew Davis 1 month ago
Absolutely worth it! We tried so many flavors, it was a great experience. Helps you narrow down what you really want for your big day. Plus, sometimes the consultation is discounted if you book.

Yeah, cake tastings are pretty standard for wedding cakes. It's the best way to figure out flavors and fillings. Definitely schedule one if you're serious about a wedding cake from them.

Trying to get some cookies for a party next week, but I'm worried about them looking exactly like the picture. Do they do custom designs well?

J Jeff H. 2 weeks ago
Oh yeah, they're super good at custom designs. I've seen them recreate logos and intricate stuff from photos. Just make sure you send them good quality pics for reference.

They're known for custom stuff, especially for wedding and birthday cakes. I'd imagine cookies would be similar. Just give them the details and they usually nail it.

Anyone know if they do discounts for first-time customers? Or like, if I sign up for an email list?

S Sam Garcia 2 weeks ago
Not really, I haven't seen them do first-time discounts often. Sometimes there's a newsletter offer but it's usually small. Mostly their deals are for specific holiday pre-orders or if you're booking a huge event.

J Jacob Jones 2 weeks ago
Nah, I don't think they do. Their discounts are pretty rare, usually just for big things like a wedding cake consultation or seasonal bundles. Don't expect a coupon code.
